WWE Wrestlmania 34, Intercontinental Championship abouts and feuds

FUTURE OF THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE FOR WRESTLEMANIA 34

Intercontinental Championship, for this prestigious title there hasn’t been any feuds going on at present in the WWE. The Miz had won it from the big dog Roman Reigns but However, Roman doesn’t seem to be having a hand of the Intercontinental Championship for now.

Recently, the Intercontinental Champion the Miz himself was involved in the first ever 7 man elimination chamber match at the Elimination Chamber Pay per View Feb 25, 2018.  Along with him, other 6 men were fighting as well and the only thing that they were fighting for was to have an opportunity to face the beast, Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 34. Since the Intercontinental Champion himself was involved in this matchup so it was clear that Miz didn’t have to defend his title that night extending his title reign more. But it is cent percent true that at Wrestlemania 34 the Miz will have to defend his Intercontinental Championship to any of the no.1 contenders which the WWE will give us pretty soon in the following episodes of WWE Monday Night Raw.

There were many predictions made for the opponent of the Miz at Wrestlemania 34 for his title. Some sites have speculated on having a Braun Strowman match at Wrestlemania 34 for the Intercontinental Championship. But looking at the current scenario in the WWE there hasn’t been any feuds between the awesome one and the Monster. So, this match doesn’t seem to be happening yet but we never know what WWE may offer us.

Other rumors were spread as well which included that the Miz will be defending his Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 34 against Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match. A Triple Threat match up between these 3 competitors had once occurred on May 1, 2017, for determining the no.1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship, where Miz had won the match.  So, this rumor may also be any time be truth if WWE decides to make it in the storyline. And as per the recent actions happening in the WWE, this feud is very much likely to start by any of the following Monday Night Raw episodes.

Triple Threat match for determining no.1 contender for IC title back at May 1,2017

Finn Balor and Seth Rollins both were involved in the Elimination Chamber matchup along with the Miz. So, the heat had started to begin from the chamber match itself. After WWE Elimination Chamber, in the next episode of the WWE Monday Night Raw, Kurt Angle had made a matchup of the Miz facing Seth Rollins. Rollins successfully got to pin the champion a 1-2 and 3 to win this matchup and increase the possibilities to ensure his future of having a title shot at Wrestlemania 34. Right after this matchup, the Miz was again made to face Finn Balor; the First Universal Champion at WWE Monday Night Raw with the Miztourge and the Bullet Club’s member banned from the ringside. With no doubt at all Balor too wants to have a title shot or they may also get into MMA or UFC as well. And as we were definitely expecting this, the Balor vs Miz had Balor victorious and he too got to pin the Intercontinental Champion having his way of getting into Wrestlemania 34.

This year Seth and Finn Balor didn’t get quite the push and opportunities that they deserve. They were always off the lights, so this is a perfect time for WWE highlighting these two and have them their spotlights that they do deserve.

There were rumors of Seth vs Ambrose at Wrestlemania 34 but since Ambrose is out of action now and is nowhere to be seen by the time Wrestlemania happens, therefore, this match is not going to happen at all. So, for Seth, a title shot can be a better way to get into the audience and have his Wrestlemania moment.

Balor, on the other hand, hasn’t had his rematch for the Universal title which he had never lost. He may be getting this rematch very soon but not by Wrestlemania 34 as at present the WWE seems to be working with the Lesnar and Roman feud for the Universal Championship. So, having Balor for the Intercontinental will quite gain the spotlight for him as after his return to WWE he hasn’t had a good match yet and has involved only in the tag team matches alongside his bullet club team members.

So, what is really going to happen at Wrestlemania 34? Will this feud indeed start and end up in a Triple Threat Match for the title at Wrestlemania? OR will there be any other superstar that the Miz will be facing for his Wrestlemania match up?
